Shoes are the new hats

There was a time when if a girl wanted a little pick-me-up, she went out and bought a new hat. The whole process was so pleasurable. Dressing to go out, going out, window shopping, looking, trying on, asking "Does this hat do anything for me?" and then finally buying the hat and wearing it the first time knowing you are being admired.

Shoes offer the same kind of experience.
